As the dynamic CEO of Gateway, you’ll find Shane Westhoelter traveling about creating new relationships, identifying business opportunities, and providing education and presentations to people all across America. Since 1988, Shane has been an industry leader in insurance and investments and has developed a proprietary process known as “Quality Life Planning” that takes the foundations of financial planning and applies them to a client’s life before they retire so they can have “Quality Life” daily. An entrepreneur at heart, Shane’s specialty is building businesses into enterprises and his passion is helping others do the same. At Gateway, Shane is the ultimate authority for corporate decisions and leads by example with enthusiasm and knowledge.
First Executive Vice President, Aprilyn Chavez Geissler, LACP, brings a successful female perspective to the Gateway Board of Directors. As both an insurance professional and a registered representative, she has provided solutions for thousands of people and helped them weave their insurance and investments into a cohesive strategy. Aprilyn serves as a NAIFA National Trustee and on Cambridge Investment Research’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council. She was recognized by Investment News as one of 2020’s Top Women to Watch and was named the National Diversity Champion in 2019 by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
Executive Vice President of Insurance & Business Development, Jeff Snyder has nearly 30 years of industry experience and is heavily invested in the success of Gateway and Gateway’s advisors. He is responsible for the development, delivery, and growth of Gateway’s fixed insurance division including fixed annuities, life, disability and long-term care insurance.
As Executive Vice President of Gateway, John Maggiacomo’s vision and guidance have helped shape Gateway for a number of years. As a seasoned advisor and business owner himself, John’s practical approach and intuitive responses to industry changes have helped keep Gateway one-step ahead of the competition. At Gateway, he is tasked with recruiting new advisors, providing compliance supervision and mentoring existing branch advisors. All with emphasis in helping advisors grow their practice for the future ahead.
Executive Vice President of Gateway Insurance Group, Shawn Westhoelter brings technical savvy and entrepreneurship experience to the team. A naturally-skilled analyst, Shawn has successfully owned and operated a multitude of businesses by making smart business moves buying and selling throughout the years. His insurance expertise and business experience make him an ideal contributor to the overall success of Gateway.
